Sangita Patel is an entrepreneur, executive life-long learner and advocate for education and literacy. She is currently the CEO of LeVar Burton Kids (formerly the home of Reading Rainbow), which exists to ignite a child's curiosity to explore the world through an extensive library of books and video field trips starring LeVar Burton.
Sangita holds a J.D. / Law Degree from University of Illinois at Chicago, The John Marshall Law School, and has had an illustrious career. She published & edited LeVar Burton’s first children’s book, The Rhino Who Swallowed a Storm, and navigated the literal storm of event leading up to the book's launch, including negotiating relationships with > 20 leading children's publishing companies including National Geographic, Encyclopedia Britannica, Abrams, Little Brown, Holiday House, and more.
